titleOfInvention | Ink set |
abstract | An ink set comprising a black ink and a color ink, wherein the black ink comprises an aqueous dispersion of water-insoluble vinyl polymer particles containing either an oil-soluble black dye or carbon black, the vinyl polymer particles have the ionicity opposite to that of the color ink, and the vinyl polymer is a water-insoluble vinyl polymer obtained by copolymerizing (a) a monomer containing a salt-forming group, (b) a monomer represented by the formula (I): CH2=C(R?1)COO(R2O)¿pR3 (wherein R1 represents hydrogen or lower alkyl; R2 represents a divalent hydrocarbon group optionally having a heteroatom; R3 represents a monovalent hydrocarbon group optionally having a heteroatom; and p is a number of 1 to 60), (c) a macromer, and (d) a monomer copolymerizable with these. The ink set is satisfactory not only in fixability and water resistance but in bleeding resistance and suitability for ink delivery. It is usable as an ink set for ink-jet recording to give extremely clear printed characters. |
