Polymer film, coating, and molded article elements for use in andisplay device are described which comprise a polymer phase having molecularlyndispersed therein an acid scavenger compound, a hindered aminc light stabilizerncompound and a hindered phenol antioxidant compound, wherein the hinderednamine light stabilizer compound and the hindered phenol antioxidant compoundnare present at a weight ratio of from 20:1 to 1:20, and the weight ratio of the acidnscavenger compound to the total concentration of hindered amine light stabilizerncompound and hindered phenol antioxidant compound is from 10:1 to 1:10. Usenof a combination of an acid scavenger and a combination of two radical scavengernantioxidants dispersed in a polymer phase in accordance with the inventionnenables enhanced stabilization of the polymer when exposed to high heat and/ornhumidity condition, which has been found to be especially desirable when appliednto polymer layers laminated into displays (e.g., polarizers in liquid crystalndisplays). |
