abstract A surface protecting film/sheet which has at least one layer comprising a resin composition containing 1 to 99 mass % of a propylene polymer [1] satisfying a requirement (1) that it has a mesopentad fraction (m m m m) of 0.2 to 0.6 and a requirement (2) that it has a racemipentad fraction (r r r r) and a value of (1 - m m m m) satisfying the relationship: [r r r r/(1- m m m m)] 0.1, and 99 to 1 mass % of an olefinic resin [II]. The surface protecting film/sheet is excellent in surface protecting characteristics and in the property of following the change in the shape of a substrate by processing, and also it generates no toxic gas when burned, which results in its being free from problems associated with the disposal of a waste containing poly(vinyl chloride). Accordingly, the above film/sheet can be used in place of a conventional film/sheet made from poly(vinyl chloride) with the above-mentioned advantage. Further, it exhibits good transparency of a surface layer and is excellent in V-cut processability and wrapping processability.
