Implantable electromechanical transducer |
abstract |
The invention relates to an implantable electromechanical transducer for receiving vibrations of the ossicles and converting them into an electrical voltage, for use as a microphone for a cochlear implant or for an implantable hearing aid, consisting of one or more of a hermetically sealed hollow body (2) made of biocompatible Material enclosed, piezoelectric transducer elements (11). The transducer is characterized in that the hollow body has a thin shell (9) which is connected on the inside to the piezoelectric transducer elements and can be coupled to an ossicle on the outside and which is held by a stable edge (10), the stable Edge can be coupled to a counter bearing in the middle ear space. |
