abstract |
The invention provides an improved formulation of a flame-retardantnthermoplastic resin composition without admixture of anynhalogen-containing flame-retardant agents but still exhibiting excellentnflame retardancy and soft and slippery touch feeling. The resin compositionncomprises, as the essential ingredients: (A) 100 parts bynweight of a thermoplastic resin; (B) from 40 to 300 parts by weight ofnan inorganic flame-retardant powder free from halogen, e.g., metalnhydroxides; (C) from 0.1 to 50 parts by weight of a high-viscosity organopolysiloxanencompound free from aliphatic unsaturation; (D) fromn0.01 to 10 parts by weight of an organopolysiloxane compound havingnunsaturated aliphatic groups; and (E) from 0.01 to 5 parts by weight ofnan organic peroxide. The composition may further contain a catalyticnamount of (F) a catalytic ingredient of a platinum-group element whennfurther improvement of flame retardancy is desired. |
