Laser detonator (3) of DDT-type (Deflagration to DetonationnTransition) that comprises at least a frame structuren(4, 5) and a detonating material (7) placed insidenthe frame structure, as well as an optical input arrangednin the frame structure to guide a detonating pulse, i.e.nlaser pulse to the detonating material (7). The detonatingnmaterial (7) of the laser detonator (3) is in annoverpressurized state when compared to the normal airnpressure to reduce the energy of the detonating pulsenrequired for igniting the detonating material. Furthermore,nthe invention relates to a detonating system comprisingnat least the above-described laser detonator (3)nas well as a control unit (1) for producing a laser pulse,ni.e. the detonating pulse and an optical fiber (2) connectingnthe laser detonator and the control unit. |
