A composition for the production of flame-retardant flexible polyurethane foams, characterized by comprising (i) a polyol component, (ii) a polyisocyanate component, (iii) a halogen-free phosphoric ester which satisfies the following requirements (a) to (d): (a) acid value of 2 KOHmg/g or below, (b) viscosity of 5 Pa·s or below at 25 °C, (c) hydroxyl value of 5 to 250 KOHmg/g, and (d) weight-average molecular weight of 200 to 2000,and bears at least one alcoholic hydroxyl group, (iv) a tertiary amine carboxylate, (v) a silicone foam stabilizer, and (vi) a blowing agent. This composition can give flexible polyurethane foams which exhibit excellent heat resistance, antifog properties, and scorch resistance as well as satisfactory flame retardance and are extremely reduced in compressive strain. |
