Metallurgical reactor for the production of cast iron, nconsisting of a metal casing (1) internally lined, atnleast partially, with refractory material (R) andnprovided, in the region of the top closure, with a ductn(9) through which high-temperature ferrous material isnintroduced, said reactor being equipped with a firstnseries of lances (13) for injecting the comburent gas, nwhich are suitably directed and arranged on at least anfirst bottom level situated in the vicinity of thencrucible (101) for collecting the cast iron (2) andnthrough which, in association with a comburent gas, ncoal of suitable grain size is blown by means of ansuitable carrier gas. Said duct (9) has suitablencooling means (309-509) and is provided, in the bottomnterminal part, with nozzles (18) for blowing inncompressed gas. The middle zone (201) of the casingn(1) of the reactor is lined internally with refractorynmaterial, pockets for receiving plates (11) made ofnmetal which is a good heat conductor being formed innsaid lining (501), said plates (11) being provided onntheir side directed towards the outside of the reactornwith heat exchanger means for cooling thereof. |
