An apparatus for processing a highly viscous liquid or paste and comprising two storage cylinders 1 and 2 with pistons 3 and 4, the cylinders being interconnected by a conduit 11, 12 and a processing chamber 13 containing a processing means 15 such as a mixer rotated by a shaft 16 and a motor 17, the liquid to be processed being introduced into cylinder 1 past valve 18 until piston 3 is fully retracted, the piston 3 then being displaced so that the liquid is pressed through conduit 11, processing chamber 13 and conduit 12 into cylinder 2, the liquid thereafter being returned to cylinder 1 and so on until processing is finished, the processed liquid then being discharged through conduit 22. |
