The present invention refers to the use of rotavirus proteins VP4, VP8 and their derived fusion proteins and peptides, for enhancing the delivery of pharmaceutical agents through the paracellular pathway. These rotavius proteins and derived peptides may addtionally be employed to reduce unwanted cellular adhesion that can occur between cancerous cells, or between normal cells as a result of surgery, injury, chemotherapy, disease, inflammation or other pathological conditions. |
