titleOfInvention Method for producing a dental prosthesis and artificial tooth therefor
abstract The invention relates to a method for producing a dental prosthesis, said method comprising the following steps: a wax model prosthesis comprising artificial teeth (1) and a receiving bed (2) for receiving the artificial teeth (1) is produced by inserting the artificial teeth (1) into the receiving bed (2) in an anatomically correct position; a negative form (8) of the wax model prosthesis is produced by means of a doubling medium (3) which is embodied in such a way as to maintain the received artificial teeth in the correct position; the receiving bed (2) is removed; a fixing material (4) is introduced into the negative form (8); and the fixing material (4) is hardened, the lower side (12) of the artificial teeth (1) being permanently embedded into said fixing material (4). According to the invention, the artificial teeth (1) used have a holding groove (15) on the lower side thereof, said groove extending in the mesiodistal direction. In this way, the artificial tooth (1) and the receiving bed (2) of the wax prosthesis are securely positively engaged, and the artificial tooth (1) can be easily inserted and optionally also repositioned. The invention also relates to an artificial tooth provided with a holding groove (15) on the lower side (12) thereof, said groove extending in the mesiodistal direction.
