abstract The invention relates to a method, a device and a plant for obtaining potassium carbonate from ashes of biogenic fuels, in particular biomass ash, which is obtained at combustion temperatures above 700 ° C, in particular above 800 ° C. The ash is moistened in a mixing process in a mixing container (1) with water of a spray nozzle assembly (2). The ash moistened with water is carbonated with carbon dioxide, in particular a carbon dioxide-containing exhaust air from the pipe (7), such as combustion exhaust air, until neutralization of the alkaline hydroxides occurs. During the process, the ash is moved by means of shakers (6). Subsequently, the potassium carbonate is washed out with water from the resulting ash granules and collected in the drip pan (5). The potassium carbonate solution is evaporated in an evaporator (9) to a 10-61%, preferably 40-50%, solution.
