titleOfInvention | Ercc2 polymorphisms |
abstract | This invention relates to diagnostic methods based upon a polymorphism in individuals indicative of an increased risk of breast carcinoma. More specifically, this invention relates to a method for diagnosis of an increased risk of breast carcinoma by screening for the presence of genetic polymorphisms in individuals, specifically in th ERCC2 gene. The invention is further directed to a method of screening to identify compounds which stimulate the action of a DNA repair enzyme encoded by one of the polymorphic forms of the ERCC2 gene. |
