The present invention relates to a method for preserving animal tissue for the use as feed for fur animals or for further processing. This method includes the acidification of the animal tissue and the use of a composition containing alkali and/or alkaline earth metal salts of sulphurous acid, a formaldehyde releasing compound and alkali and/or alkaline earth metal salts of benzoic acid dissolved in water. |
