titleOfInvention Light emission device and display device using the light emission device as light source
abstract A light emission device (10) and a display device using the light emission device (10) as the light source are disclosed. The light emission device (10) includes i) first and second substrates (12,14) facing each other and forming a vacuum vessel, ii) an electron emission unit (18) provided on the first substrate (12), and iii) a light emission unit (20,20') provided on the second substrate (14,14'). The light emission unit (20,20') includes i) a transparent anode electrode (30,30') formed on the second substrate (14,14'), ii) a phosphor layer (32,32') formed on the anode electrode (30,30'), and iii) a plurality of sub-electrodes (34,34') contacting the anode electrode (30,30') and crossing the phosphor layer (32,32') under the phosphor layer (32,32'). The sub-electrodes (34,34') have a resistance lower than that of the anode electrode (30,30').
