abstract |
Described are coating compositions containing pigments and / or fillers and multistage polyvinyl ester dispersions as binders. These binders are produced by a selected multi-stage process in which a polyvinyl ester dispersion is produced in a first stage, in a second stage monomers in dissolved or pure form or in the form of an emulsion are added to the reaction mixture and thereafter the polymerization is restarted. The polyvinyl ester dispersions contain copolymerized silanes and / or epoxides, or the polyvinyl ester dispersions have no or only a low content of protective colloids. The formulated with the multistage polyvinyl ester dispersions produced in this way are characterized by a very high weathering resistance. |
