Disclosed is a process for preparing regenerated biopolymers in the form of carbohydrates using a solution system containing the biopolymers, wherein the solution system is based on a molten ionic liquid and optionally a protic solvent or a mixture thereof, the biopolymers dissolved in the solution system in a coagulation medium be precipitated, wherein in the coagulation medium is a coagulant or a mixture of coagulants. This method is characterized in that the surface tension σ of the coagulant or the mixture of the coagulants is 99% to 30% of the surface tension σ of water, the respective surface tension being measured according to ASTM D 1590-60 at a temperature of 50 ° C. This process is economical and flexible. It leads to advantageous process products, in particular in the form of staple fibers. These are in particular non-fibrillating and show an advantageous ratio of wet to dry strength. |
