The present invention relates to a hair dyeing process, from a hydrophobic film-forming polymer. The method of the invention comprises the application to the hair of a composition comprising one or more hydrophobic film-forming polymers, a pigment and a volatile solvent, followed by a step of heating the hair covered with the composition at a temperature greater than 40 ° C.
