The invention relates to a method for separating carbon dioxide from an exhaust gas of a fossil-fired power plant, in which a fossil fuel is burned in a combustion process (1), wherein a carbon dioxide-containing exhaust gas (2) is generated, in which exhaust gas containing carbon dioxide in an absorption process (4) (2) is brought into contact with an absorption medium, wherein carbon dioxide is taken up by the absorption medium, wherein in a desorption process (5) at least one first stage of the loaded absorption medium (7) carbon dioxide (11) is discharged, wherein a partially regenerated absorption medium (15) is formed, and in which in the desorption process (5) at least the first stage partially regenerated absorption medium (15) is removed and returned to the absorption process (4). |
