abstract | An ink-jet recording ink with which high-quality images having high durability can be printed on a non-water-absorbing recording medium. This printing only necessitates heating of the recording medium. The ink rapidly dries on non-absorbing media, can be stably ejected, enables stable printing over long, and enables easy recovery through maintenance. This ink-jet recording ink is characterized by comprising a pigment, an ink-soluble resin, a water-soluble organic solvent, and a silicone or fluorochemical surfactant. It is further characterized in that the ink-soluble resin has carboxy or sulfo groups and has an acid value of 80 - 300, excluding 300, and that tha water-solible organic solvent comprises a solvent (A) (a glycol ether or 1,2-alkanediol) and a solvent (B) (a cyclic solvent or cyclic ester solvent containing a nitrogen atom or dimethyl sulfoxide). |
