A process for the preparation of olefins, said process comprising passing a Fischer-Tropsch derived feed stream comprising paraffins having in the range of from 20 to 28 carbon atoms to a dehydrogenation zone, operating the dehydrogenation zone at dehydrogenation conditions sufficient to dehydrogenate paraffins, and recovering from the dehydrogenation zone a dehydrogenation product stream comprising monoolefins and paraffins wherein the monoolefins in the dehydrogenated product stream have in the range of from 20 to 28 carbon atoms. |
