Correcting misshaped ears |
abstract |
A system and method for correcting misshaped ears using a base section (105) defining an opening (103) dimensioned to accommodate the passage of the ear (1) through the opening (103) and a top section (102) releasably engageable with the base section (105) defining a compartment therebetween. A first stint (31) can be arranged on an anterior surface (107) of the base section (105) to maintain a desired anatomic shape of the ear (1) essentially in an area of the antihelix (14) and the superior limb (17) of the triangular fossa (16). A second stint (32) can be placed in an area of the scapha (12) of the ear (1) to maintain a desired contour of the scaphal area (12). A conchal stint (71) can be placed in the concha (13) to maintain a desired anatomic shape of the concha (13). |
