The invention relates to the compounds of formula (1), wherein a group C-R1 can be substituted by N in the phenanthrene moiety, and one or more groups C-R2 can be substituted by N in the anthracene moiety. The invention also relates to organic electroluminescent devices, especially blue-emitting devices in which said compounds are used as a host material in the emitting layer and/or as an electron transport material. |
