titleOfInvention Catalyst cleaner
abstract Cleaning a contaminated with deposits, in particular manganese, an exhaust gas flowed front side of a catalyst in an exhaust system of an internal combustion engine, characterized by the following inventive method steps: ➢ making available the front side of the catalyst, ➢ Apply compressed air to the front face with compressed air mixed with granules until the deposits have been largely removed. ➢ closing the accessibility of the front side of the catalystn n n If the exhaust back pressure becomes too large due to deposits for normal engine operation, the catalyst does not have to be replaced and, after cleaning, returns largely to its normal conversion characteristics.
