| abstract |
In a process for producing colorant-plastic concentrates (2) called color masterbatches, plastic material (34) and colorant (51) are fed into a main screw machine (3) and into a colorant plastic in a treatment zone (39) Homogenized mixture (86). Subsequently, further plastic material (34) is fed to the mixture (86) by means of a side screw machine (5) in a transfer zone (40). The mixture (86) and the supplied plastic material (34) are homogenized in a downstream treatment zone (41) to the colorant-plastic concentrate (2). The process allows a simple and gentle production of colorant-plastic concentrates (2) with a high colorant content. |
