| abstract | The invention relates to a device (10) designed and equipped to feed fluids into a rod (12) within a rod-making machine (11) in the tobacco processing industry, comprising an injection unit (25) which is provided with a pressure element (24) and which is characterized in that the injection unit (25) has an upright hollow shaft (26) and a rotating body (27) driven in rotation and mounted in a sealed manner on the hollow shaft (26), wherein the hollow shaft (26) has a holding chamber (28) for the fluid connected to the pressure element (24) and also at least one through-hole (29) directed radially outward from the holding chamber (28), and the rotating body (27) likewise has at least one radially directed through-hole (30) in such a way that the or each through-hole (30) in the rotating body (27) can be made to overlap the through-hole (29) of the hollow shaft (26) by means of rotation about the hollow shaft (26). The invention further relates to a rod-making machine having such a device (10) and to a corresponding method. |
