The invention is based on the object to provide a method by which fiber composite components made of aluminum and polyurethane can be produced economically in industrial practice. A basic idea of the process according to the invention is to use a special polyurethane composition which is adapted to the production process and which can be converted into a thermoplastic polymer in a first crosslinking reaction and subsequently crosslinked to give a thermosetting material in a second crosslinking reaction. According to the invention, the final cross-linking to the thermosetting polymer is carried out only after a shaping forming step, so that the high final strength of the component only arises when the component has already assumed its final form of use. Characteristic of the invention is a close coordination of the chemicals used with the mechanical processing steps, so as to exploit synergies in the plastics and aluminum processing. |
