abstract |
Methods and apparatus to form biocompatible energization elements such as biocompatible batteries are described. A field of use for the methods and apparatus may include any biocompatible device or product that requires energization elements such as an electronic contact lens. The present application especially relates to a uniform and mechanically robust form-in-place separator in the form of a permeable hydrogel membrane which is obtained by polymerizing a mixture comprising a water soluble polymer such as PVP, a first momoner such as HEMA, and a second monomer such as EGDMA in a liquid solvent such as IPA. |
