The invention relates to an axle carrier 1 for a motor vehicle, comprising an upper shell 2, a lower shell 3 made of a fiber-reinforced plastic and a rib structure 9 for stiffening the upper shell 2, wherein the upper shell 2 consists of a metallic material and the rib structure 9 consists of a short fiber reinforced plastic and is integrally formed from the lower shell 3. Furthermore, the invention relates to a method for producing an axle carrier 1, wherein from a stack of layers of a fiber-reinforced thermoplastic, the lower shell 3 and integrally connected thereto rib structure 9 is formed and joined with an upper shell 2 made of a metallic material. |
