A process and a plant for the production of olefins from oxygenates such as methanol and / or dimethyl ether are proposed, in which first the oxygenates are converted in an olefin synthesis reactor into a primary product containing propylene, other olefins, paraffins and aromatics. The primary product is separated into hydrocarbon fractions of different C chain length, whereby short-chain olefins such as propylene are recovered and, in addition to further fractions, a C 7- fraction containing C 5 / C 6 olefins is obtained, as well as a C 7 + fraction Contains aromatics. From the latter, the aromatics are separated and alkylated with the C 6 / C 6 olefins to alkyl aromatics. These are fully hydrogenated and recycled to the olefin synthesis reactor, where they are also converted to short chain olefins. |
