The invention relates to a composition for the formation of a hard alloy, iron-based and cobalt-free, consisting of a first component consisting, by mass, of 0.7 to 1.5% of carbon, 2.2 to 4% silicon, 20 to 30% chromium, 3.0 to 6.0% manganese, 3.7 to 5.0% nickel, 1.7 to 4% molybdenum, less than 0.3% d nitrogen, the remaining amount consisting, with the exception of impurities, of iron; and a second component comprising titanium. - Hard alloys, coatings and hard alloy parts.
