Catheter for expanding and / or destroying a stenosis in a vessel of a patient, comprising a catheter shaft (20) with a cavity (24) and in the cavity (24) at least one first wall (25) delimiting the cavity (24) firmly connected first active element (26) to form the active principle of the inclined plane (50) for the purpose of increasing a distance (A) perpendicular to a longitudinal axis (21) of the catheter shaft (20) and the resulting radial expansion of the catheter shaft (20). According to the invention it is provided that the catheter (1) arranged on the outside of the catheter shaft (20) has at least one radially protruding pressure element (30) for exerting a pressure force (31) on a stenosis in a vessel. |
