Provided herein is a method for suppressing an enhanced downstream signaling from a CXCR4-GPCRx heteromer in a cell of a subject, wherein the method comprises administering to said subject a CXCR4 inhibitor and a GPCRx inhibitor; wherein: i) said CXCR4-GPCRx heteromer has an enhanced downstream signaling; and ii) said CXCR4 inhibitor and said GPCRx inhibitor suppress said enhanced downstream signaling from said CXCR4-GPCRx heteromer in said subject; wherein the enhanced downstream signaling is an enhanced amount of calcium mobilization; and wherein the method is not for treatment of the human or animal body by therapy. The suppression of said enhanced amount of calcium mobilization can lead to enhanced stem cell mobilization and the stem cell can be collected. Provided herein is also a stem cell collected by the method of the invention for use in a method of treating a pathological condition in a patient. |
