abstract INTELLIGENT SYSTEM FOR THE COLLECTION OF NON-PERISHABLE WASTE. IT IS BASED ON A NETWORK OF INTELLIGENT CONTAINERS. THE CONTAINERS HAVE SOME DETECTORS OR A MECHANICAL DEVICE THAT DETECTS IF THEY ARE FULL (1), A WARNING DEVICE THAT COMMUNICATES THEY ARE FULL (3) AND A BLOCKING DEVICE (6) THAT PREVENTS THE DROPPING OF WASTE WHEN THE CONTAINER IS FULL. AFTER THE CONTAINER LID (B) IS OPENED, THE DETECTORS OR THE MECHANICAL DEVICE DETECTS WHETHER THE CONTAINER HAS BEEN FULL (C, D). IF IT HAS BEEN FILLED (D), THE NOTIFICATION DEVICE TRANSMITS SAID INFORMATION (9) TO A CENTRAL CENTER AND THE LID IS BLOCKED BY THE BLOCKING DEVICE (6). THE COLLECTION OF WASTE CAN BE RATIONALIZED BY ALWAYS KNOWING THE STATE OF EACH CONTAINER. THE VERY IDEA OF THE SYSTEM AND THE INTELLIGENT CONTAINER IS CLAIMED. IT HAS APPLICATION IN THE COLLECTION OF PAPER, GLASS, BATTERIES, CARDBOARD, CANS AND OBJECTS FOR DONATIONS SUCH AS TOYS, CLOTHES AND BOOKS.
