titleOfInvention PROCEDURE FOR STABILIZATION AND INERTIZATION OF ORGANIC TOXIC AND DANGEROUS CHARACTERS.
abstract Procedure for the stabilization and inertization of organic waste of a toxic and dangerous nature. The object of the present invention is to obtain monolithic solids with high resistance, either to compressibility (mechanical resistance) and/or to the leaching of contaminants (chemical resistance). The process is based on the use, under certain conditions, of a phyllosilicate (clay) with a high specific surface that allows obtaining inert materials that can also be energetically revalued. The procedure comprises a tank [2] where the material or materials to be treated are homogenized; this is mixed with the silicate in a mixer [6]; the kneaded product can be sent directly as such to a deposit of inerts, although the present invention contemplates its conditioning. For this, the kneaded product goes to a briquetting machine where it is compacted; The briquettes are normally sent to a storage park where the product undergoes a curing process. In the event that the residues are original organic rich in volatiles, it is necessary to verify the curing in a closed cabinet with air aspiration that drags the volatiles that are released during curing; these volatiles pass through a column [13] filled with active carbon [14].
