| abstract | Method of continuously treating sheet-shaped vinyl sheets to prepare them for the formation of sheet bodies, which comprises feeding the sheet from a roll of vinyl material to a drying zone, drying the sheet to remove moisture and traces of volatile material, refrigerate the sheet after it has been heated and dried, wash the sheet to soften it and remove traces of chemical deposits on the sheet, separate liquid from the sheet to dry it, transport the sheet while it is subjected to the action of heat to remove moisture and relax it from any stretching that occurs in the previous steps, apply air jets to the sheets to remove more moisture and straighten the sheet when transported, and transport the sheet through a cold area to cool and fix the sheet. |
