abstract | A melting furnace (18) for non-ferrous metals to melt any non-ferrous metal and to keep the metal in liquid form, comprising a combustion equipment comprising a pair or more than two pairs of burner groups (1, 2); each burner group (1, 2) comprises a regenerator (3, 4) for a variety of burners (1a-1d, 2a-2d) and said burner groups (1, 2) are installed in the oven ceiling (18) spaced apart each; the combustion equipment comprises the means to ignite a first burner group (1) and a second burner group (2) alternatively, the means to store the residual heat produced when said first burner group (1) is ignited in a regenerator (4) of the second burner group (2), the means for using said stored residual heat to preheat the combustion air of said second burner group (2) when said second burner group (2) is turned on; similarly, the means for storing the residual heat produced when said second burner group (2) is ignited in a regenerator (3) of the first burner group (1), the means for using said stored residual heat to preheat the air of combustion of said first burner group (1) when said first burner group (1) is ignited. |
