titleOfInvention GRILLE-CROSSBAR FOR A FUEL ASSEMBLY OF A NUCLEAR REACTOR.
abstract Grid-crossbar for a fuel assembly of a water-cooled nuclear reactor, consisting of a series of plates (2, 2 ¿) intersected and assembled together at substantially right angles, delimiting a network of rod cells (3) of meshes squares destined to receive, each of them, a fuel rod (4) crossing the cell in an axial direction and kept in disposition substantially centered by retaining elements (5) cantilevered inwards with respect to the cell walls (3), each rod cell (3) of the grid-cross member (1) comprising a first lower axial end and a second upper axial end in the direction of circulation of the cooling water in the fuel assembly, and two opposite walls one at another, presenting at its upper edges a mixing fin (7, 8, 9, 10) constituted by a part of the wall cut in a cantilever upward, with respect to the upper edge and bent towards the inside the cell (3), in the vicinity of a first and a second angle of the cell (3) arranged according to a first diagonal of the cell (3), the other two opposite walls of the cell comprising, in the vicinity of two angles arranged in a second diagonal of the cell (3), characterized in that the walls of the rod cells (3) comprise, according to each of their upper edges, in the area that does not contain mixing fins (7), a complementary deflection element (16, 17, 18) cut in the cell wall material (3) and located in one of the following provisions: a) in the vertical extension of the cell wall (3), b ) folded into or out of the cell in the same direction as the mixing fin (7) located on the same upper edge of a cell wall.
