abstract | Method for the production of at least one organic compound with at least 3 C atoms or with at least 2 C atoms and at least 1 N atom by fermentation, which includes the following steps: a1) grinding of a starch source, where a ground material is obtained which contains at least a part of the solid component that does not contain starch from the starch source; a2) suspension of the ground material with an aqueous liquid and liquefaction of the ground material present, in the aqueous liquid in the presence of at least one enzyme that liquefies the starch, where an aqueous medium (1) containing dextrin is obtained, which includes at least a part of the starch-free solid component of the starch source; and b) use of the aqueous medium (1) containing dextrin in a fermentation to grow a microorganism, which is capable of overproducing the organic compound and which is chosen from among microorganisms that produce enzymes, which hydrolyse dextrins to monosaccharides where enzymes that hydrolyse dextrins to monosaccharides are not added, or added in an amount less than 0.001% by weight, based on the total weight of the starch source used. |
