| abstract | Device intended to be used for cooling a hot rolled product in a rolling mill, said apparatus comprising: a plurality of nozzles (18) arranged sequentially along a first axis (Al), said nozzles are subdivided into base sections (18a ) and upper (18b), said upper sections are adjustable between the closed positions acting together with said base sections to define tubular enclosures through which said product is directed, and of the open positions, characterized in that the device comprises, in addition: a clamp support (24) extending in a relationship parallel to said first axis; the clamp elements (24) carried by said clamp holder; drive means (38) for adjusting said clamp support between an open configuration in which said clamp elements are separated from said upper sections and said upper sections are adjustable to said open positions, and a closed configuration in which said upper sections are in said closed positions and said clamp elements are in contact with said upper sections and push them into said closed positions; and a means to supply a coolant to said nozzles. |
