Polyphenylene sulfide-based composite fiber mainly comprising a component A and a component B, wherein the PPS-based composite fiber comprises component B in an amount of 5 to 70% by weight, and in which the component A is a resin that mainly comprises polyphenylene sulfide produced from p-phenylene sulfide as the main unit while component B is a resin that mainly comprises a copolymerized polyphenylene sulfide produced from at least one type of unit. copolymerization other than p-phenylene sulfide, characterized in that at least a part of the fiber surface is made of component B, in which the melting point Pf (A) of component A and the melting point Pf (B) of component B satisfy the following formula 5 [oC] <= Pf (A) - Pf (B) <= 80 [oC] |
