abstract | A delivery system (800) comprising: a volatile composition comprising from 15% to 50%, by weight of said volatile composition, of materials having a Kovat number greater than 1400, wherein said volatile composition is contained in a reservoir (810) having a capillary element (910); an ultrasonic micro-plug unit comprising a first plate (860) comprising a plurality of perforations (880) extending through said first plate (860); a second plate (820) comprising a plurality of micro-pins (870) extending longitudinally from the end of the base to one end of the tip, and configured to correspond with at least one of said plurality of perforations (880); and a piezoelectric actuator (840) in communication with one or more of said first and second plates (860, 820); wherein said capillary element (910) transports said volatile composition from said reservoir (810) to said first plate (860), and wherein said piezoelectric actuator (840), upon receiving an electrical signal, moves at least one micro-plug from a position seated in at least one of said perforations (880) and atomizes said volatile composition. |
