abstract | Method for producing cylindrical flexographic printing elements comprising at least one cylindrical sleeve (3) as well as a relief forming layer, characterized in that a device (V) is used to apply the relief forming layer, which comprises at least the following components: · a clamping device (1) for the rotating support of the cylindrical sleeve 5 (3), · a drive unit, with which the cylindrical sleeve (3) can be rotated around the longitudinal axis, · an application device (4) to apply in two dimensions a molten material, embossing, on the cylindrical sleeve (3), and because the process comprises at least the following process steps: (A) making available a casting bath of a relief forming material, (B) rotation of the cylindrical sleeve (3) around the longitudinal axis, (C) two-dimensional application of the molten material, formed or relief, on the cylindrical sleeve (3) rotating by means of the device (4), where a layer of the forming material is formed on the cylindrical sleeve (3), with the condition that the cylindrical sleeve during the process of coating perform at least two complete rotations, such that at least two layers of the embossing material are coated on top of each other, where the distance between the device (4) and the last applied layer respectively of the embossing material stay constant during coating and thus, corresponding to the increasing thickness of the total layer, increase the distance between the device (4) and the cylindrical sleeve (3). |
