A hazardous fluid handling system (1000), comprising: a docking station (1010, 1030), comprising: a pump (1012, 1032); a user interface (1018, 1038); a control device (1014, 1016, 1034, 1036) electronically attached to the pump (1012, 1032) and the user interface (1018, 1038); and a dangerous fluid transport device (1002) adapted to be detachably coupled with the docking station (1010); wherein the dangerous fluid transport device (1002) comprises: a housing (1022) comprising an internal radiation-protected chamber (1023) formed to contain a container (1004) containing a radioactive fluid; at least two radiation dosimeter detectors (1024) disposed within the housing (1022) near the protected internal chamber (1023) to detect radiation emitted by the radioactive fluid; and a dosimeter control device (1026) electronically coupled to the two radiation dosimeter detectors (1024), the at least two radiation dosimeter detectors (1024) providing a signal representative of the level of radiation detected for the control device dosimeter (1026); wherein the control device (1014, 1016, 1034, 1036) is configured to measure the filling volume of the container (1004); wherein the coupling station control device (1014, 1016, 1034, 1036) is electronically connected to the dangerous fluid transport device (1002) and the pump (1012, 1032) is in fluid communication with the device for transporting dangerous fluids (1002) to fill and distribute the fluid in and from the dangerous fluid transport device (1002) when coupled with the docking station (1010); and wherein the dosimeter control device (1026) is configured to use individual measurements received from the at least two radiation dosimeter detectors (1024) to determine information representative of the filling volume and to compare said information with the measurement of the available filling volume of the control device (1014, 1016, 1034, 1036) to determine error information comprising at least one of the presence of bubbles in the container (1004) and the presence of spills or leaks of the radioactive fluid from the container (1004). |
