abstract |
The present invention provides a highly specific mycotoxin adsorbent for Trichothecenes A and B, and especially for Vomitoxin (or Deoxynivalenol) and toxin T-2; as well as a process to prepare said mycotoxin adsorbent. The adsorbent is obtained by modifying the surface of an aluminosilicate using a functionalized chain organic compound that provides it with high polarity properties. The use of this type of adsorbent to prepare animal feed that avoids the toxic effects of trichothecenes present in food and the use of this adsorbent with aluminosilicates or organoaluminosilicates to prepare animal feed that avoids the toxic effects of mycotoxins. |
