abstract Conveyor belt comprising a lower fabric layer (2) having a first lower surface (26) forming a rear side of said conveyor belt and a first upper surface (25), said first lower surface (26) being impregnated with a impregnation (1) comprising: a) one or more thermoplastic polyolefins selected from the group consisting of ethene homopolymers, propene homopolymers, ethene/α-olefin copolymers, propene/α-olefin copolymers and ethene terpolymers with two or more different α-olefins; the conveyor belt being characterized in that the impregnation also comprises b) a thermoplastic polymeric dispersing agent containing repeating units derived from at least one ethylenically unsaturated monomer of a comparatively lipophilic nature with an HLB value in the range between 1 and 10 and from at least one ethylenically unsaturated monomer of a comparatively hydrophilic nature with an HLB value in the range between 10 and 20 and bearing an anionic carboxylate group, and because said impregnation is obtained by applying an aqueous dispersion , comprising compounds a) and b) above dispersed therein, to the first bottom surface (26), and heating the first bottom surface (26) having said aqueous dispersion applied thereon to cause the water to evaporate and to melt and fuse together said one or more thermoplastic polyolefins and the dispersing agent thermoplastic ion.
