titleOfInvention PROCEDURE FOR PREPARING CYCLLOHEXYL CARBOXYLIC ACID AND ITS DERIVATIVES.
abstract 1.- Procedure to prepare cyclohexylcarboxylic acid and its derivatives, with the formula: ** (Formula) ** in which Z is a hydroxyl group, a -0M group where M is an alkali metal atom or an equivalent fraction of a metal alkaline earth, or an amino group such as -NH2, and R is a radical -CH2X where X is a halogen such as bromine; characterized in that di- (hydroxymethyl) cyclohexane is reacted with the hydracid HX, temporarily protecting one of the alcohol functions by formation of the corresponding acetylated derivative; the remaining alcohol function is then oxidized to acid; and optionally the acid obtained is made to undergo salification or amidification.
