Additive for combustion-supporting air for i.c. engines comprising 40-85 wt.% inert support (e.g. naphthalene, pref. pretreated with LPG), 5-10 wt. % diphenyl, 5-10 wt. % hexamethylene tetramine, and 5-50 wt. % of a binder (camphor or p-dichlorobenzene). Additive improves resistance to detonation, enabling lower octance gasoline to be used, and enhances more complete combustion (less CO in exhaust). |
