titleOfInvention SOLAR CAPTOR
abstract A solar heater, intended to prolong the period during which a bathing pool can be heated by the sun's rays, and heat losses reduced considerably, may be formed by a plate (1) of flexible material, such as fabric produced by weaving, plastic sheet, expanded metal, etc., given a dark-coloured coating for absorbing solar radiation. This plate (1) is perforated (2) and may be corrugated to improve circulation. Above this plate, there is a transparent paret (3) of flexible material, supported by struts (4) from the plate beneath. These may be cork blocks, hollow plastic mouldings, etc. of such a weight that they submerge the lower plate (1) whilst holding the top plate (3) above water level.
