abstract The refrigerated flower vase is designed to contain water and flower stems with a refrigerating module keeping the water temperature down. The vase (1) includes an internal support (4) for the refrigeration module and has an external insulating sheath (8). The water is maintained cool by heat exchange. The support (4) may comprise a vertical open topped tube which is built centrally onto the base (3) of the vase. The tube has curved blades (5) at the mouth to grip the refrigeration module, and openings (6) in the stem to permit water to make direct contact with the module. The lip of the vase may be externally return curved (7) and the insulating sheath (8) may comprise a double or single layer of insulating material.
